BOT 2020 Election Procedures

  1. On May 12, 2020, the day of the AGM/BOT Election, a ballot box will be set up at the ISB front gate to receive ballots being cast for the election of candidates to the ISA Board of Trustees.  For downtown voters, a ballot box will be set up in the Emporium Suites Lobby. Please just drop your ballot envelopes in the box, there is no need to sign up.
  2. Submission of ballots will begin from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the ISB front gate and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm at the Emporium Suites.  No ballots will be accepted after those times.
  3. Each member shall cast one (1) ballot listing his choice of candidates.  The number of candidates for whom votes are cast on each ballot shall not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled this year, which is 3.
  4. The ballots sent to each family are numbered and stamped with the ISB logo. Please take note of the number on your ballot in case you lose/misplace it. Replacement ballots on the day of the AGM/BOT Election (May 12, 2020) will be available at the front gate for people who need them but be sure that you write the number (from your original ballot) on your replacement ballot. Otherwise, your ballot will be invalidated.
  5. The ballot must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and the envelope must be signed across the seal by the voting ISA member as well as having his/her name printed above the signature.
  6. Only one ballot may be placed in the sealed envelope.
  7. At the close of voting – 12:00 p.m.(downtown) and 6:30 p.m (at ISB), the ballot boxes will be collected by KPMG personnel. They will count and validate the ballots.
  8. The KPMG personnel will present the final results of the election to the COT Chair for the announcement of results.
  9. The names of the winners will be announced in alphabetical order. No individual vote counts will be disclosed either publicly or privately to anyone.
  10. Candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be deemed elected subject to the provision in Article 5 of the ISB Bylaws.  In case of a tie vote between two (2) or more candidates for the last remaining vacancy, a runoff election shall be held immediately.
