Traffic Jam – Human Trafficking in Thailand

Traffic Jam is  HS service club whose mission is to raise awareness and educate people about human trafficking in Thailand. Both sex and labor trafficking are, unfortunately, prevalent in Thailand. 9 out of 1000 people in Thailand are slaves. It is estimated that 610,000 people in Thailand are the victims of trafficking. The 11th of March is #myfreedomday, a student-driven event around the world designed to raise awareness about modern slavery. To support #myfreedomday, during MS and HS lunches in the pit, ISB will be hosting an acoustic performance by professional singer and ISB alum Alex Sypsomos. Please come watch the event and donate. There will also be food and snacks available for purchase. All money donated will go to Operation Underground Railroad, which sets up local sting operations to catch human traffickers.
