Invention Center Hosts Designer/Artist/Woodworker, Nucharin Wangphongsawasd
March 9th – 23rd, 2020
The ISB Invention Center is bringing designer/artist/woodworker Nucharin Wangphongsawasd to share experiences and knowledge with students and the ISB community in the field of woodworking. Her works were inspired by repetitive patterns from both natural and manmade objects, driven by an exploration of forms in the creation of each piece. She focuses on experimentation with different types of repetition and progression through different woodworking techniques, to create a body of work that shares feelings, fragments of memory, and life experiences with the audience. Khun Nucharin’s goal is to enrich ISB’s community through the creative thoughts and actions of its learners.
Khun Nuharin will be working with middle and high school design classes. There will be an opportunity for other classes to sign up and work on a collaborative project.
There will also be a weekend woodworking workshop on Saturday, March 21st, in the Invention Center to design and build your own projects with her teaching. Sign up and see details HERE.
