NBBL in ISB
Dear ISB Community,
We are pleased to announce that this year Top Flight Basketball will take over management of the NBBL this season. We are honored and very excited to take on the responsibility of organizing this incredible community league.
Our goal is to run a professional, organized league where students will benefit from experienced professionals who share a passion for the game of basketball. In addition to teaching and reinforcing the essential fundamentals of the game, we also emphasize the importance of teamwork, self-confidence, friendship, and sportsmanship.
The NBBL is a community basketball league open to students ages 3-18 years (PreK 1 to Grade 10) of all skill levels. The season consists of an 8-week regular season and championship tournament at the end of the season.
Please have a look at some of the new features of the league this season.
TEAM SELECTION ASSESSMENT DAY
This year we plan to go to great lengths to make sure the teams are fair and balanced. We will conduct multiple “Assessment Days” to give our coaching staff the chance to see every player in each division on several occasions. This year we will also enlist the help of the ISB school-team coaches to assist us in the evaluation process. Evaluation days will take place on the following dates and times.
Please see The Assessment Day Schedule for February below.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
REGISTRATION FEE IS 6,500 BAHT
PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE AT THE CAO OFFICE DAILY 07:00-15:00

COACHING CONSISTENCY
This year we are committed to having one coach with one team for the entire season.
We feel that it is essential for players, especially the younger players, to hear the same voice all season, from the first practice to the last game.
This season we will make every effort to ensure that barring an extenuating circumstance, that each team will have the same coach for every practice and every game.
SCHEDULE AND VENUE
Once again, the NBBL will consist of one practice day during the week (Monday or Tuesday) and one official Game-Day” (Saturday).
In keeping with our theme of consistency this year, all practices will take place on the same day and in the same venue by division for the entire season.
In designing the regular season game schedule, we have tried as much as possible to keep each division playing at the same time each week. We have also tried to keep each division playing in the same venue to avoid confusion. Because of other activities taking place at ISB, there will be changes some weeks
We will play a majority of the regular season games on Saturdays. Please note that for the older divisions, there will be a few Friday night games this season.
Hopefully, the new schedule makes it easier for families with more than one child in the league to plan their weekend schedules more efficiently.
Please have a look at the practice day schedule attached below:
COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
This season we will have a full-time NBBL Coordinator in the CAO office. The basketball coordinator will be in the office from 9:00-13:00 daily to answer questions, collect payments, and address any issues you have. Our coordinator will also be available by phone and email.
The coordinator will also attend every practice session and will be there on game days to ensure the league is running smoothly.
In addition to the new coordinator, The Top Flight Support Team will also be available via email, LINE, and The New HEJA Team app.

Families in Global Transition Conference – Cancelled
We are sorry to inform our community that the Families in Global Transition (FIGT) Conference has been cancelled.
Due to the evolving situation with the 2019-Novel Coronavirus and the difficulties and uncertainties currently surrounding international travel, the FIGT Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the FIGT 2020 Conference in Bangkok. This decision was made after careful consideration and with an abundance of care and concern for the health and wellbeing of all those involved and the wider global community.
FIGT’s Board is exploring options to enable their community to share the wealth of experience, expertise, research and support that would have been available in Bangkok. They hope to make an announcement about this soon.
FIGT is offering two options for refunds. Attendees can wait until an alternative option is announced and use their registration fee as credit towards its costs, with any balance refunded at that time, OR request a full refund now. Please complete this brief online form to let us know your choice. https://figt.typeform.com/to/
For questions, please email figt2020@figt.org
