This week, our P.E. team put on the full day Middle School Olympics on Thursday. The event is a highlight of the school year. Hosted by Thailand this year, the event included a celebration of our host country and of the many nationalities of our student body with the Opening Ceremonies; a lighting of the MS Olympic Torch; Cultural Games organized by our Thai parent community; Team Games; Track & Field Events; and the closing Tug-of-War.
A big event like this requires a lot of participation and help and for that we are incredibly grateful. On behalf of our MS students and faculty, thank you to:
- to the PTA for their contributions to support the event,
- to our Thai parents for the wonderful planning and set up,
- to our MS Arts Council for preparing the backdrop and set design for the opening ceremony,
- to our band and choir for performing at the opening ceremony,
- to the gymnastics program for, once again, contributing a wonderful acrobatics show,
- to our Buildings and Grounds and P.E. staff for the set-up and transformation of our facilities,
- to our parent volunteers who helped out at the event,
- to our faculty and staff for running the games, supervising the students, and making the event fun for all,
- and finally, to our amazing P.E. department for all of the preparation, details, positive attitude, and hard work that goes into this incredible day!
The MS Olympics are a wonderful way to spend the last full day of school in the first semester. Enjoy a few photo highlights from the event below (more photos to be shared soon).
