We continue to monitor air quality as we plan for our MS Olympics events. Today, we moved the Biathlon event to the afternoon to allow the air quality improve. This proved a good idea as the temperatures and air quality in the morning would have required modifying the program.
For Thursday’s MS Olympics Day, we will monitor the air quality and adjust activity if necessary. The three rotations of events are in Cultural Games inside Rajendra, Team Games on the fields, and Track and Field on Field A.
If AQI exceeds 150, we will ensure added breaks for the Team Games. At the Track and Field, none of the running races are longer than 200 meters, so exertion is not prolonged. And of course, the Cultural Games are indoors.
Hopefully, AQI won’t be an issue, but we wanted to reassure parents that we are monitoring it and will adjust events as needed on the day or by the hour as AQI changes.
We are looking forward to a great day of MS Olympics fun.
