Dear Parents,
It was great to see so many of you here at school today at the Parent Student Teacher Conferences checking in with teachers about your child’s progress, strengths, and areas for growth. I trust that the conversations you had at the conferences lead to further discussions with your children over the weekend about their progress and experiences at school so far this year. Those conversations need not be centered solely on grades, but should also be opportunities to celebrate the strengths of your children (both in the classroom and outside) in addition to investigating areas for growth and improvement.
Thank you to our students in attendance on Thursday at our Attributes day (Grades 9/10) and College Day (Grades 11/12). A wide variety of wellness and Attribute sessions were offered by teachers (and some students) that included cricket, yoga, philosophy, how to create a play in 120 minutes, barista skills, gift card marking, photography classes, self organizing tips and many more wonderful and varied activities centred around ISB’s attributes. Creative, Self Managing, Social Intelligence, Global Minded, Value Driven and Adaptable. You can see a few photos of the day on the ISB High school instagram page (link here)
In addition our older students spent valuable time working on their college preparations, Extended Essay, CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service) and other aspects of their academic program. Thank you again to our teachers for their amazing work in organizing and running such wonderful sessions and to our students for their enthusiasm and participation.
Have a wonderful weekend.
