Art Studio Friday with Jill Enfield – September 27

3:00pm to 6:00pm in the Visual Art Quads

Art Studio Friday is designed to enrich the ISB community through the intellectual and creative thoughts and actions of its participants. For this year’s first event, we are thrilled to have visiting artist and professor at Parsons and RISD, Jill Enfield, involved. Hosted by the ISB Visual Art Department with support from the ISB PTA & Boosters, Art Studio Friday is open to students (grade 4 and up), parents, staff and teachers at ISB.

Spaces are limited and will be based on a diversity of ages and experiences. To be considered for a spot please register HERE on or before September 19, and deposit the 1000THB per person participation fee to the Community and Arts Office by September 20. Confirmation and workshop selection emails will be sent on Monday, 23 September.

All participants will explore image making with a focus on mark making, texture, and contrast in a variety of media, including; paint, print, ink, charcoal, oil pastel, and cyanotype, with workshops structured so that participants will learn specific skills, have the opportunity for individual exploration, and participate in creative challenges. As the evening progresses, participants will be invited to visit other studios, and to engage in collaborative works.

Looking for Registered Nurses, EMTs, and Medical practitioners

Calling all registered nurses, EMTs, and medical practitioners.  ISB is currently looking for trained professionals to support the ISB health clinic. Our team of five Thai registered nurses support ISB in so many ways. They staff the newly renovated health clinic all regular school days from 7:00am – 8:00pm, Monday through Friday, as well as on Saturdays from 8:00am – 5:00pm.  The team also covers ISB events on Sunday along with some student trips.

We are seeking additional support to assist us when needed with: single day coverage, event support, and short term coverage when a clinic nurse is supporting a trip or away.  All clinic support members would be supervised by a Thai nurse at all times.

If you are interested in supporting the clinic, please contact June D’Mello juned@isb.ac.th and or  Khun Usa Somboon usomboon@isb.ac.th

BCT are back on stage this September with an imaginative storyteller production of “Shipwrecked! An Entertainment – The Amazing Adventures of Louis d Rougemont (as told by himself)”, a fun-filled entertainment for the whole family.

The adventurous Louis de Rougemont invites you to hear his amazing story of bravery, survival and celebrity that left nineteenth-century England spellbound. Dare to be whisked away in a story of the high seas, populated by exotic islanders, flying wombats, giant sea turtles and a monstrous man-eating octopus. “Shipwrecked”  examines how far we’re willing to blur the line between fact and fiction in order to leave our mark on the world.
