ONE DAY – What a Day of Learning!
This Thursday, our entire Middle School engaged in ONE DAY – a day of student-selected, -directed, -managed, and -executed learning. Students selected their learning projects and prepared materials, advanced work, learning and planning in order to execute their plans in a day.
Throughout the school we saw kids engaged in their learning, adapting to unexpected challenges, persisting through difficult situations, and adjusting to new ideas or results. Students passionately pursued their projects and we saw wonderful results on the day, and shared in the Showcase events on Friday.

See below a brief description of this activity and some photos here.
Intro to Cheer and Cheer Basics: Interested in what cheerleading is all about? Come learn all the basic fundamentals of cheer; jumps, stunts, tumbling, motion technique, and some basic cheers/chants. All skills will be taught and mastered on a progression scale where safety is at the forefront of everything taught. Students will work with coaches to learn body control and coordination necessary for competitive and sideline cheerleading. The student will learn new and fun skills as an individual like tumbling and jumps but also learn teamwork, trust and cooperation with partner and “4 man” stunts. This is a multi-leveled class for boys and girls in grades K-12.
