High School Upcoming events (Please click):
Friday May 17th ‘Nearly there’
Justin Alexander
justina@isb.ac.th
Dear Parents,
Thank you for such a great week with your students. Whilst our Seniors are still in the midst of the exams, the rest of the High School is humming along with all sorts of wonderful learning taking place.
Today, our Grade 11 students are working on their ‘Group 4’ project which in some cases involves teaching and working collaboratively with our friends in the Elementary school. Well over half of our Grade 11 students will be interacting with and teaching students from PreK – Grade 5, whilst the rest will be working on different scenarios in smaller groups on such areas as sustainable cities, colonizing Mars, space travel and supervolcanoes.
On a side note, it is worth mentioning that in recent weeks we have had some power outages at school which affected the power supply to some key areas of the school (the exam rooms in the MPB). I am pleased to say that we have now been able to secure emergency power to serve these areas in case of a power outage.
The next few weeks will fly by I am sure with lots of events heading our way – Prom, Graduation, Grade 9-11 exams, Housefest day and of course the last day of school on June 11th. Not long to go now.
Have a great weekend.
Regards
Justin Alexander

Stephan Golas
stephang@isb.ac.th
For Parents of G12 Students applying to Korea, Japan, India, and Australia: as a reminder, students should be working with their College Counselor NOW to be sure all documentation is requested on-time, using a document request form, for applications they will be submitting after Graduation. Please encourage your student to see his or her college counselor next week to discuss their applications and timelines.
For Parents of G12 Students: please be sure to remind your student to complete his or her Clearance Form no later than May 24th and return it to Khun Fon – we will be sending out a reminder to students as well, but would appreciate a little nudge from you! The Clearance Form serves as a final transcript request – final transcripts are required by the college or university a student is attending but will not go out without the completed Clearance Form.

If the class is popular and we have a minimum of 10 students ready to register next semester, will consider the possibility of officially launching this activity one evening per week through the CAO from 18h45 to 19h45.
See below a brief description of this activity and some photos here.
Intro to Cheer and Cheer Basics: Interested in what cheerleading is all about? Come learn all the basic fundamentals of cheer; jumps, stunts, tumbling, motion technique, and some basic cheers/chants. All skills will be taught and mastered on a progression scale where safety is at the forefront of everything taught. Students will work with coaches to learn body control and coordination necessary for competitive and sideline cheerleading. The student will learn new and fun skills as an individual like tumbling and jumps but also learn teamwork, trust and cooperation with partner and “4 man” stunts. This is a multi-leveled class for boys and girls in grades K-12.

Please click on http://bit.ly/isbgradphoto to check more details and register your interest. You are welcome to walk-in on the day, but registering your interest will help the photo taking process be smooth and fast. Thank you for your cooperation!
Personal Photographer
A photo of your child in their gown and cap with their diploma in hand, with Phuang Malai hanging from their neck is certainly important on this big day. But there are plenty of good photo opportunities before and after the ceremony: photos that are more candid and tell a story. Your personal photographer will follow you and capture your special moments all day (9:30am – 6:00pm). You can also share a photographer with a friend (limited to 2 families per photographer). Please click on Personal Photographer for more details and booking. Questions? email info@firstpix.co.th. 10% of the sales will go to the graduation committee to cover the cost of reception.
