Board of Trustees Annual Election, 2019
The ISB Board of Trustees annual election will take place tomorrow Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Election results will be announced that same evening at the 7:00 pm at the AGM.
This is your chance to be an active part in choosing the board members who serve our school. The Board is the guardian of the school’s mission, and as such sets policy, focuses on school governance and addresses long-term, strategic issues.
You should all have received your election package. Please use the second, revised package, the ballots at the back of the package will show 12 names, you can vote for up to eight candidates. Please put each ballot into a separate sealed envelope, print your name on the back of the envelope and sign across the seal. Detailed voting procedures are included in the election package. The bios of each candidate can be found on line, are displayed at school, and are part of the election package you have received. Each candidate has produced a short video produced that can be viewed here. You will be able to submit your ballot in person at school or downtown on Tuesday 14. May, alternately you can send your ballot with your student or your partner.
The ISB Board of Trustees is currently composed of eleven elected positions and up to four appointed positions. This year there will be eight open seats on the Board to be filled by election. Newly elected trustees will serve a two-year term, beginning August 1, 2019.

Summary of voting procedures
The election is a paper vote and you have already received a packet from ISB via paper mail. There are 2 ballot slips- one for you & one for your spouse.
Each member should please review the candidates’ materials.
On your ballot:
- Mark X on up to 8 candidates (of the 12 names)
Put in the enclosed envelope
Seal and sign back of envelope, print name above signature
Tuesday May 14
- If you live in NICHADA:
Bring your ISB ID and envelopes to Chevron theater to drop in box between 7am-5:59pm (spouses and children with ID can drop ballots in the box)
- If you live downtown you can either:
Bring your ISB ID and envelopes to Emporium Tower 7am- 11:59am!
Drop off at school.
If your child has school issued ID card- they need to bring to drop the envelopes for you, if in ES, they need to know their number. Maids and drivers May NOT drop ballots.
