Bravo! – Simon Says Murder is a hit drama production

This week audiences were treated to a wonderful MS Drama production, titled “Simon Says Murder.” The play was completely developed from students from initial writing of the script, to development of the stage show, characters, and production.

Congratulations to all of the students involved. The production showcased how much the students learned in the process and how talented and skilled they’d become. Congratulations to our show’s directors, Peter Assimakopoulos, Merissa Bush, Melinda Kehe, and Kevin Kuehn, and of course, the amazing cast and crew for such an entertaining, sophisticated, and thought-provoking production!

Bravo!

ONE DAY is here!

“If you could learn anything for one day, what would you do?” This is the question we have posed to students over the past two weeks leading up to this coming Thursday, May 16th – ONE DAY!

ONE DAY is a full school day dedicated to students learning what they want to learn. Teachers will be on hand to guide, ensure safety, ask questions, and support, but it’ll be the students directing their own learning.

We invite parents to come see this learning in action. Please come to campus on Thursday, anytime after 9:30 AM and check out the different learning taking place. Other than some breaks for snacks and lunch, students will be engaged with their personalized learning all day.

One of the required tasks is that they document their learning along the way. Students will share their learning journey for the day, the following day on Friday with our ONE DAY Showcases. The Showcases will take place in two waves from 12:50 to 2:35 pm on Friday, May 17th.

We hope you can join us for ONE DAY on Thursday, or the Showcases on Friday afternoon.

MS Art Exhibition – Why!

The work of our amazing MS student artists is currently on exhibit in the foyer of the Chevron Theatre. Please come by and see this showcase of student artwork, themed around Why we do the arts. With an emphasis on the process that creates the final product, students share their pieces for all of us to enjoy.

We hope you come by to see this wonderful show and we invite you to leave your own thoughts in the box provided about why you think we engage in the arts.
