‘Songkran Splash’

Justin Alexander
justina@isb.ac.th

Dear Parents,

Today is certainly one of my favorite days of the year today, with the festivities of IASAS Baseball and Softball hosted here at ISB and the myriad of colorful shirts and the playful spraying of water taking place – plus of course, it is the last day of school before the Songkran break.  Our IASAS baseball and softball teams have started the tournament here at ISB very strongly both winning their first games on Thursday. Join me and others in watching their games live here at school (or on the livestream)

Friday: 12pm Baseball vs ISKL, 4pm Baseball vs JIS, 6pm Softball vs SAS

Saturday: 8am Baseball vs SAS, 10am Softball vs TAS, Finals at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm

You can see the full schedule of games and links to live streaming for Track and Field, Golf and Badminton by clicking here

Go Panthers!

Thank you to all of our Thai teachers and all of our Thai students for hosting and organizing a wonderful Songkran assembly on Tuesday which highlighted the cultural importance of the Thai New Year and the Songkran festival for all of us. We now look forward to a weeks rest and relaxation (after a bit of fun splashing water around) before the last few weeks of the school year.

Please take the opportunity to rest, relax and spend time and with family and friends over the next week or so. Our senior students have just one more school left before they start their study leave in advance of IB Exams. We wish them and their families all the best as they enter this period of consolidation and review.

On behalf of the HS administration and faculty, I wish you all a safe and peaceful Songkran break.

Justin Alexander
High School Principal

  • Concerns related to ‘Senior’ trips, class trips or prom trips
  • General Guidelines for Student Safety in Thailand
  • Alcohol related / legal matters in Thailand

An important legal reminder regarding student visas

Please click here to read the full text of this document. This is particularly important to read at this stage in advance of the Songkran break, Prom night and Graduation.

Dear ISB Bands families,

Next year’s grade 6 band students will soon be hoping to purchase instruments for next year. Some will be looking for second-hand instruments to purchase.

If you have band instruments in good condition that you wish to sell (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, alto/tenor/baritone saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium/baritone, tuba and/or percussion kit), please contact <kentarou@isb.ac.th> and bring your instruments to the MS band rooms (#119 or 107, first floor in the Cultural Center) before Friday, May 10 for us to evaluate and give an estimated price. We will then send a list of available instruments to parents who are interested in purchasing second-hand instruments.

Please be advised that we are not able to guarantee that all instruments will be sold due to the condition or interested buyers.

If you have further questions, please feel free to write to <kentarou@isb.ac.th>.
