Air Quality Seminar at ISB – February 13th
We are hosting an Air Quality Seminar on February 13th, featuring a number of experts in the field. Topics discussed will include how to reliably monitor air quality levels, the health impacts of prolonged exposure, and measures schools and parents can take to reduce the impact of air pollution on our children and community members. As we anticipate a high level of attendance, we ask that you register in advance.
ES Musical: “The Cat and The Rat: A Caribbean Folk Tale”
On February 12th and 13th, 142 Grade 5 students will head to the stage to enact a dramatization of the Caribbean Folk Tale, “The Cat and The Rat!” This fun, tropical show is not to be missed! Students have contributed to editing the script, choreography and sound as well as working on the costume design, stage make-up and set design!
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL – There will be live music, that has been produced by our Grade 5 students who have carefully studied traditional Caribbean dance and Calypso music for a fully authentic and original production. There will be an interactive student exhibition in the Chevron Theatre relating to the French post-impressionist painter Henri Rousseau.
Do not miss this phenomenal production, which will prove to be an audio visual sensation!

Air Quality at ISB – Updates
ISB is actively assessing and addressing concerns about Air Quality in Bangkok and at ISB. We remain in regular contact with air quality experts, colleagues at other schools, equipment providers, and ISB community members.
We are taking some additional measures to help us better understand the air quality situation:
Readings on campus
- We have purchased a number of indoor air quality monitors so we can accurately measure and track the indoor air quality in classrooms and buildings. This testing will allow us to gauge the indoor air quality and enable us to compare indoor air quality to outdoor air quality
- We continue to work closely with our Air Quality Monitor provider to ensure we continue to collect reliable data on campus
Next Steps
- The indoor air quality data will help us make informed decisions going forward on how to best ensure that our students and community are in the healthiest environments possible.
We will keep the ISB community updated with further developments.
We hope that you are able to join our seminar on Bangkok Air Quality (Wednesday 13th February at 6:30pm in the MPB) which will provide insightful expert information on the topic of air quality, and specifically, the situation in Bangkok. The seminar will help us gain a better understanding of our context and inform future actions.
Submit your questions for the seminar on Bangkok Air Quality
We would like to collect questions in advance for the seminar to ensure we can answer as many as possible in the time frame. Please submit yours here.
