All School eNews- Air Quality Seminar and more

ISB Air Quality Seminar – 13th Feb, 2019

ISB will be hosting an Air Quality Seminar on February 13th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, featuring a number of experts in the field. Topics discussed will include how to reliably monitor air quality levels, the health impacts of prolonged exposure, and measures schools and parents can take to reduce the impact of air pollution on our children and community members.

Please join our seminar to hear valuable updates and information on the situation in Bangkok and to put forward any questions and concerns you have. We will also send out a form for you to give us questions in advance, to ensure we try and cover all topics.

Registration information will be sent on Monday, February 4th. We apologise that the seminar date conflicts with the Elementary School Musical, but this was the only date that allowed for all our speakers to be present on campus.

The seminar will be open to other schools and we expect a high attendance, so please save the date and remember to register on Monday.

ISB Calendar 2018/19 – Last Day of School & Additional Public Holiday

Please note that the Royal Thai Government has announced that Monday 6th May will be a public holiday. ISB will be closed on this day except for IB exams. I know we are all looking forward to this most auspicious occasion and to witnessing an historical coronation ceremony for HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.

A reminder that the last day of school this semester will be Tuesday 11 June 2019. We hope that this clarification will help with making holiday arrangements for the summer.

ES Musical: “The Cat and The Rat: A Caribbean Folk Tale”

On February 12th and 13th, 142 Grade 5 students will head to the stage to enact a dramatization of the Caribbean Folk Tale, “The Cat and The Rat!” This fun, tropical show is not to be missed! Students have contributed to editing the script, choreography and sound as well as working on the costume design, stage make-up and set design!

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL – There will be live music, that has been produced by our Grade 5 students who have carefully studied traditional Caribbean dance and Calypso music for a fully authentic and original production. There will be an interactive student exhibition in the Chevron Theatre relating to the French post-impressionist painter Henri Rousseau.

Do not miss this phenomenal production, which will prove to be an audio visual sensation!
