Parent Safeguarding Training Workshop – Consent

This week, ISB Counselors Ms. Kersey, Ms. Kinsella, Ms. Valenzuela and Mr. Callahan gave an outstanding presentation on consent at the counselors’ annual parent safeguarding training. Close to 50 parents attended the two sessions (morning and evening), with a good turn out of parents from all 3 divisions. We are pleased that the turnout indicated the importance and level of interest in this topic.

It was wonderful to see them pull the pieces of our safeguarding curriculum together and show how talking to students about this topic at every age is so important. The depth of their experience and expertise was very evident, and as a parent, very comforting. Thank you counselors!

The counselors have shared the slides and recommended booklist for parents to review.
