Dear Parents,
Thank you to the 30 or so parents who joined us on Thursday morning for an interactive workshop on Assessment and Grading at ISB. Parents in attendance were able to learn about the differences between formative and summative assessments, understand ISB’s 7-1 grading scale, see some sample assessments and review transcripts and grades on Powerschool.
Susan Canobie (Dean of Academics) was ably supported by Gaby Geneser (Head of World Languages), Fraser Carver (Geography and World Studies teacher), Mike Rutherford (HS Librarian/Ed Tech Coordinator) and Khun Arisa (Powerschool guru). Speaking of meetings and news, there is a HS PTA meeting on Monday December 3rd at 9.30am in the Literary Lounge (in the MS/HS Library). Topics covered will include
