Kindness shines this week in the Middle School

This week, throughout the middle school, we engaged in Kindness Week. Kicked off with an assembly on Monday, MS students shared the community and personal benefits of being kind.

The theme of the week was #JustSayHi and we saw the power of simple greetings to lift mood, improve health, and foster community. Throughout the week, students and teachers greeted each other more often and more personally and the smiles were noticeable.

On Tuesday, students each received the name of another student in the grade and they were given a task as “Secret Change Agents” to secretly deliver a nice note, provide a surprise treat on days in the rest of the week. Today, the students shared who they were to their secret recipients in a fun culminating “Reveal party.”

It was wonderful to see the kindness catch on and spread throughout the students and teachers. Students were really into the secret deliveries of kindness and we’ve had a wonderful spirit throughout the week, that we are confident will continue to represent us for the remainder of the year.
