Dear Parents,
It was great to see so many of you here at school today at the Parent (Student) Teacher Conferences checking in with teachers about your child’s progress, strengths, and areas for growth. I trust that the conversations you had at the conferences led (or lead) to further discussions with your children over the weekend about their progress and experiences at school so far this year. Those conversations need not be centered solely on grades, but should also be opportunities to celebrate the strengths of your children (both in the classroom and outside) in addition to investigating areas for growth and improvement.
Congratulations are in order for our students for the positivity and excitement that was on display on Thursday at our Attributes day (Grades 9/10) and College Day (Grades 11/12). HS students enjoyed the opportunity to choose their activities and sessions for the day that either related to our newly adopted schoolwide Learner Attributes, wellness activities or for our older students sessions related to college preparations, Extended Essay, CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service) and the IB Diploma. The energy and excitement was obvious all day and was underlined when the High School student body came together in the cafeteria at the end of the day to share food, stories, and music with one another. Thank you to our teachers for their amazing work in organizing and running such wonderful sessions and to our students for their enthusiasm and participation.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Regards
