Typically a room parents will email about birthday celebrations, share contacts if parents agreed to have theirs shared, end of year presents or celebrations, any information your teacher would like you to send out to parents, etc.
They would also very occasionally help out in the classroom when needed (i.e.: reading on lower primary) or facilitate communication on events across a whole grade (i.e. book sale in grade 5). Our teachers have the support of lots of amazing IAs, specialist teachers etc, we are generally only required to assist with the fun stuff!
