ES eNews

This Week in the ES…

Message from Kelly Armitage, Sarah Fleming and Keith Collins

What a  wonderful year of learning, care, laughing and growing.  We are a close Elementary community, and this year we have come together in many ways to support one another, challenge ourselves, and make a difference.  We appreciate your support and wish you all a wonderful summer filled with family, friends, time outdoors, good books, and lots of laughter. If you are leaving ISB and off to new adventures, we want to thank you for being a part of our ISB family and wish you the very best as you transition to your next “home.”  Please stay in touch!

This will be our last Elementary eNews of the school year.  See you in August!

Friday June 8th 11:30 am Student Dismissal

All students will be dismissed at 11:30 am on Friday, June 8.

Student Class Placement and Grades 2-5 “Meet Your Teacher”

Class Placement for the 2018-2019 school year will be sent via e-news and posted in grade level quads at 2pm on Friday, Aug. 10th. Students may visit their new classrooms and homeroom teacher for “meet the teacher” from 2:00-3:00 on the 10th. This time will be a chance to say a quick hello and find the location of your child’s homeroom classroom (not specialists). The purpose of this time is to see a face and a place to start school, not to conference with the teacher or to receive information.  You will receive information about the school year later in the week and at our Elementary Open House on Aug 30.  Also, please realize that teachers continue to work on setting up the classrooms throughout this afternoon and we’ve encouraged them to end promptly at 3:00pm.

Please note:  PreK, KG and Grade 1 students will be meeting teachers during appointments on Wednesday August 15 and Thursday August 16.

Grade 3 Thanks You!

Written By: Mr. Palmer’s Grade 3 Class

Thank you ISB community for supporting Grade 3’s Read-a-Thon to raise funds for Second Chance Bangkok (SCB) and After the Wave. In our Read-a-Thon most third graders read to earn money for these two communities.  The total amount raised provided 122,861.50 THB to each organization. We couldn’t have raised this much money without you.

Thanks for your support at The SCB sale last week. They made 146,000 THB.  Many thanks also for donating toys and clothes to SCB.

(Repeat) Annual Medical Screening For Students

It is the time of year when we need to start the medical screening process for ALL students.

Any student who has had a new student medical examination after January 2018 will not need a repeat examination. All students must fill in the Nurse Medication Consent form and Tuberculosis Symptom Screening form.

Forms are available for download from the ISB website. Link

Any student with Diabetes, Asthma or Anaphylaxis will also need an action plan filled out by the doctor. Theses Action Plans are available for download from the ISB website. ISB Health Services Forms and Resources.

If your child has regular medications that the nurse administers throughout the school day please also get the Prescription Medication Consent form filled out.

ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE HEALTH CLINIC BY JUNE 30 2018 either in person or via email nurse@isb.ac.th. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
