COLLEGE COUNSELING
Jennifer Melton
jenniferm@isb.ac.th

Summer is fast approaching! Congratulations to our Seniors as they’ve now finished their IB exams and graduation only a week away! Here are a couple of important reminders for families of 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students:

Grade 12: Final Transcripts and IB Results Service for Universities

Now that students have finished their exams, they will need to complete the Clearance. Doing so will ensure that ISB will send a final transcript to universities.

Any grade 12 student who needs their IB scores sent to a university should have completed a form sent via their ISB student email account by the IB Office (Khun Arintra and Ms. Canobie). If a student does not complete the form for the IBO Results Service, then they will have to wait until IB results are released in July and will need to log on to their IBO account and send scores to the university themselves. An email was sent in March and again in April to Seniors with directions.

Grade 12: Applicants to Australia, India, Korea, Japan

Grade 12 students still applying to university should communicate regularly and early with their college counselor on their applications to universities in these countries. A reminder that all documents needed for university applications must be requested through a transcript request form (found in the counseling office) at least 3 weeks before the university deadline.

Grade 11: Important Reminders

This past week 11th graders attended their final College Seminar of the year with reminders of what students should be focusing on going into summer regarding their college research process. They received a guide for preplanning and post reflection when visiting universities. Also, the last Essay Writing Workshop was held Wednesday after school. Students can access presentations and resources from both of these events on Haiku. Students should continue to check in with their ISB College Counselor regarding essays, how to research universities, and their plans.

Grade 10: Communication from College Counselors

After a successful Grade 10 College Night last week, families should plan to receive an email with some important communication that is forthcoming about testing, Naviance, college consultants, and some other important details.
