School Counseling Newsletter

We would just like to wish all our students and families a wonderful Songkran break. Our students will be ready for some rest and relaxation with a splash of fun.

Screenagers

During the week we had a wonderful turnout for the viewing of the short movie “Screenagers”. This is an award winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. After the viewing there will be a brief presentation and an opportunity for discussion. Michael Boll, our learning and technology coach gave a brief presentation – the PPT is shared below.

The movie was followed by really productive table discussion as families shared their stories, ideas and concerns. There were some great suggestions made at tables and some of which we will be further explored at the school. The classroom version of this movie will be shown to different groups of our middle and high school students.
