ISB Service Learning Partnership with “Second Chance Bangkok”
Service Learning keeps moving forward at ISB. One example of this, is the partnership with Second Chance Bangkok. Now in the project’s 5th year, grade three students are benefitting from the partnership in various ways. Through multiple visits by Second Chance Bangkok, grade three students will gain a better understanding of the community and day-to-day life found in Klong Toei, grow in their knowledge of fair trade in the market place and explore ways to create products from recycled and upcycled materials.

(Repeat) Love and Logic Parenting Book Discussion Group Held by ES Counselors, Ellen Thomas and Kate Kersey, Monday Mornings, Jan 15-Feb 12
If you want to raise kids who are self-confident, motivated, and ready for the real world, take advantage of the Love & Logic win-win approach to parenting. Your kids will win because they’ll learn responsibility and the logic of life by solving their own problems. You’ll win because you’ll establish healthy control—without resorting to anger, threats, nagging, or exhausting power struggles! We will meet once a week for 5 weeks, starting Jan 15, and the discussion group will end on Feb 12. The group is limited to 50 parents on a first-come first-serve basis and registration closes on Dec 1. The discussions will be held on Monday mornings from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. in the ES MPR. Click this link to register. You can also purchase the book through ISB for 900 Baht, or you can purchase the book on your own.
(Repeat) After School Supervision
Any elementary school student on campus outside of regular school hours, who are not participating in a school sponsored event, must be actively supervised by an adult in charge, appointed by the family. This includes being in the elementary Learning Hub (library).
