Volunteer to ensure road safety near ISB
By: Katie Edsall
escoord@isb.ac.th
Parent Traffic Wardens Needed:
We want to work together to ensure that the roads in Nichada are safe for our children. Many children commute to school on bicycles or on foot. Despite the existence of bicycle lanes and crosswalks, students are in harm’s way when drivers of cars and golf carts fail to drive at a safe speed, pass dangerously, fail to give right of way at the front roundabout, and park in bicycle lanes. ISB administration is working with Nichada Thani on a variety of solutions to educate our community and enforce safety rules.
While the ISB guards work hard at managing the school crosswalks and entrances, they need our support. We are organizing parents to volunteer alongside the ISB guards and help make our school zones safer. This will require a team of parents who care enough about this issue to make a difference. Parent volunteers will be involved in assisting students at crosswalks, reminding offending drivers about the school zone rules, and reporting offenders to administration when they continue to break safety rules.
There is much talk about wanting greater safety in our community. Please volunteer your time to make ISB and it’s surrounding roads the safe environment we all want for our kids. If you are interested, please email me at escoord@isb.ac.th.

Lost Property on display – 26th January
By: Natalie Lollback
lostandfound@isb.ac.th
This is a reminder, that all items coming to school should have a name on them. Due to limited storage space, all un-named items will be disposed of after they have been displayed at the monthly Lost Property display. Display dates are on the school calendar and are advertised on the ISB Lost Property Facebook Page. The next display will be on Friday 26th January.
All school uniforms have a label to write your name on, please use it. Please encourage your children to be responsible for their belongings. Every month there is an incredibly large amount of unclaimed items.
Central Lost Property is open 10am -12pm and 2pm -4pm each school day. Lost property bins around the school are cleared out every Thursday and items are moved to Central Lost Property. Put a name on everything to ensure it does not get lost.
