Booster Club has paired with the Art Department at ISB to create the Friends of the Arts program, a program that supports the various visual art departments within ISB and celebrates artists and students as they find passion through art!
Graffiti artist Alex Face will be coming to the school on Wednesday, November 15th to create a few amazing spray-paint pieces and do a presentation.
To prepare for his visit we will be hosting a Free-Paint on Monday, November 13th and Tuesday November 14th. All community members, ISB Staff, teachers, students, and all parents can come to the green behind the MS/HS Cafeteria where we will have paint and panels all waiting to be covered with creativity! We invite everyone to come and make their mark on mural panels that will be installed at ISB to commemorate this event for years to come!
On Wednesday, November 15th, we invite everyone to come to Alex Face’s presentation between 10:35 – 11:30 AM in the MPB. After, all community members are invited to watch Alex as he creates new pieces for our school at 12:30 – 2:30 in the green behind the MS/HS Cafeteria.
This will be a big event that will require more than just a few volunteers – We are needing at least 13 people for Monday, as well as Tuesday to help the kid’s and community members paint on the boards, and 4 people to help with crowd control and chaperoning Alex Face on Wednesday.
Please sign up HERE and support the Arts program at our school! For questions about this volunteer opportunity please contact Kelly Mott or Rachel Landolt. For more information on the artist and his work please contact the ISB art department.
Happy painting,
Rachel and Kelly
