Dear ISB Community,
Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. I know that our ISB community joins the people of Thailand in grieving the passing of a highly revered monarch who has touched the lives of literally millions of people through his words, deeds, and thoughts.
We have all witnessed the immense value of His Majesty as a compassionate leader, a dignified monarch, and a source of great stability for our beloved Thailand. Very rarely in history is a nation blessed with such an inspiring, worthy, talented, and caring leader. His Majesty has dedicated his life to the Thai people for seven decades and is rightly deeply loved, revered, respected and admired.
His Majesty may have passed, but his spirit, his love for his people, his work, his compassion will live forever in the hearts and minds of the Thai people and the world.
If a school was ever looking for a role model to inspire students, I cannot think of a better and more fitting exemplar of how to live ethically than HM The King.
His Majesty is an example to all of us on how to lead our lives as ethical, caring, responsible, contributing people, learning all the time to improve ourselves and the condition of others. His Majesty was not just born great, he achieved greatness in his own right.
Throughout the past year we have celebrated the work and life of His Majesty and will continue to do so in the years ahead.
