Conversations about Learning
by Dennis Harter
dennish@isb.ac.th
The past two days have been packed with parent-student-teacher learning conversations. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for conferences and of course to the teachers for sharing what they know about your children’s learning progress.
We have appreciated the feedback parents have shared with us and echo that appreciation back at you. Our partnership to helping your children progress in their learning, while developing their independence is essential to their success. We have always considered these days “learning days” and our sessions this week confirmed how important they are.
No School on October 13th

MS Flex Classes for Quarter 2
by Cindy Plantecoste, MS Dean of Academics
Next week your children need to sign up for Quarter 2 flex classes (Oct. 9-12). In an effort for students to have a wider range of choice in their schedule, and to allow them the opportunity to try out a variety of new experiences, our flex offerings are being offered on a quarterly basis this year.
Quarter 2 Flex classes begin on November 1st and end on December 6th. Registration opens on Monday after school and will run through Thursday. Descriptions of flex class offerings and instructions for your children to register will be in the student bulletin starting on Monday.
MAP testing reports now available on PowerSchool
by Cindy Plantecoste, MS Dean of Academics
Starting on Monday, October, 9, you may access your child’s MAP testing reports for Reading and Math. Please log into PowerSchool to access the reports.
On November 2nd, the ES and MS are co-hosting an informational session about MAP testing. Please join us if you would like to learn more about these tests and how we use them at ISB.
