Wild Panthers Outdoor Education Information Evening

by Dennis Harter
dennish@isb.ac.th

As we did last year, on Monday, September 11th, at 6:00 PM, in the CC Theater, we will be hosting a parent information evening on our Wild Panthers Outdoor Education program.

This session will give you a chance to meet our ISB Outdoor Ed teachers, here about the learning program, and understand the safety measures that we have in place. The information will mostly be a repeat of our session from last April, except for an opportunity to meet more of the team and hear a little bit about our first 2 groups that have already participated in the program. If you attended the session April, you may find this a repeat of information.

For those that cannot make it, we will provide a video of the evening in next week’s eNews.

First Leadership Seminar a Success

Last Saturday, our MS Counselors, Ms. Coady and Ms. Kinsella hosted our first Leadership Seminar, with over 60 volunteer students in attendance. Run by ISB HS National Honor Society students, the seminar was rich in teamwork, understanding leadership, and engaging fun.

Well done to all the participants and a thank you to Mr. Scott, Mr. Kuehn and the HS teachers and students who helped make the seminar a terrific leadership growth experience.

Three more will be scheduled throughout the rest of the year, each different from the others. All are welcome to join.

Does your child need to finish his/her MAP test?

by Cindy Plantecoste, MS Dean of Academics

If your child did not finish one of the MAP tests, s/he will need to attend an after school test completion session. Sessions are being offered every day after school, from 2:35-3:15 in the MS Skybox.

Each evening, when the Good Morning News Student Bulletin is shared for the next day, it will include the links that allow your child to register for the session that that best meets the needs of your child, given their after school schedule of activities.

The sign-up form needs to be completed before noon on the day of the makeup session that your child wants to attend. Sessions are limited to 40 students, so sign-ups are on a first come, first serve basis. Sessions will be offered every afternoon, if needed, through September 19th.

If your child has not yet completed the testing session, it would be helpful if you could look at the student bulletin together so that you can decide upon and register for the session that will be best for your child.
