School Counselors
The school counselors have been meeting with new students over the past couple of weeks. We have been reminded that they are still in the midst of transitioning. This can be both an exciting and unsettling time for them as they are missing friends and all things familiar. Not to be forgotten, it can also be a time of transition for the “stayers.” These are students who have returned to ISB, but have had to say goodbye to good friends recently. Please keep this in mind and check in with your child. We will continue to monitor and support them through this transition.
College Counselors
In case Grade 12 parents missed this post last week, a copy of the Senior College Night presentation can be found here at this link. This week counselors walked Seniors through creating their Common App and UCAS accounts.
College visits to ISB are picking up with the week of September 18 being a very popular time for colleges to meet with ISB students. Please encourage students to attend these visits as it’s an expectation that students meet with a representative if applying to their institution. A reminder that a large worldwide College Fair will be held on Saturday, September 23, 3:45pm at the Shangri-La Hotel. Students must register in advance at: cois.org/bangkokfair2017. A list of universities in attendance can also be found at the link.
