Professional Learning Day – No School for Students on Sept. 22

Friday Sept. 22nd, 2017 is a Professional Learning Day for teachers, with no school for students.  Classes will resume on Monday Sept. 25th, 2017.  It will be an ‘E’ day.

Spirit Week September 25th-29th

We are excited about our PreK-12 Spirit Week, initiated by High School students.  September 25th-29th.  The optional dress up days are:

Monday – Pajama Day
Tuesday – Team Jersey Day
Wednesday – Character Day
Thursday – Retro Day
Friday – Black & Gold Day

Please ensure that any preparations are happening at home, and that costumes are simple so that they will not interfere with movement and learning.  Please do not send students with glitter, paint or anything that might damage furniture.

ES Explore (ES After School Activities)

This Semester’s After School Activity program will begin on Monday, September 18th.

Confirmations of ES Explore placement will be available online on Friday, September 15th.     

There are still limited spaces available in some of our classes. You can still register at the CAO but don’t delay! Remember, once the ASA schedule begins there are NO REFUNDS however, you may change your ES Explore choice once it is before your third session.

(Repeat) ES Yearbook Photos

The yearbook photos will take place the week of Sept. 11 – 15, 2017.  This is scheduled during the day and teachers will take classes to have photos taken.

(Repeat) After School Supervision

Any elementary school student on campus outside of regular school hours, who are not participating in a school sponsored event, must be actively supervised by an adult in charge, appointed by the family. This includes being in the elementary Learning Hub (library).

(Repeat) ES Panther Choir, Orff Ensemble, and Orchestra Registration Now Open!

Do you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader who loves to sing, play instruments, or move? Please click here to find information about the ES Panther Choir & Orff Ensemble. Do you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader who plays violin, viola, cello or bass? Please click here to find information about the ES Orchestra. Please note: both ensembles run separately from ES Explore (After School Activities) and use a different registration system. Also, no payment is required for participation in either ensemble.

The Learn to Swim program will offer 2 sessions for 1st semester.

Session 1: Sept 4 to Oct 12
Session 2: Oct 30 to Dec 7

Classes will take place at the following times:

ES Mon & Wed 2:40 – 3:10pm
ES Tues & Thurs 2:40 – 3:10pm

PRE K ONLY Mon & Wed 2:40 – 3:10pm
PRE K ONLY Tues & Thurs 2:40 – 3:10pm

Cost is 5,000 baht for a 6 week (12 class) session (K-5)
Cost is 4,500 baht for a 6 week (12 class) session (pre K)

ISB accepts announcements from ISB families for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.

Where to submit your announcement

tinaratr@isb.ac.th is for Elementary School (ES) announcements of interest to ES families.

Your announcement will be submitted to the appropriate Principal and/or to our Director of Marketing and Communications for review. ISB reserves the right to determine which announcements will and will not be published, and to edit announcements that are approved for publication.

Frequency of eNewsletter mailings
The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.
