MS Play this coming week
This week we host the Middle School Play, “Mahajanaka” – a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The students wrote the play through a creative process led by our drama director Michael Sharp.
Shows are on 16-18 May in the Cultural Centre Theatre. Tickets are on sale every school day at lunch in the cafeteria, with proceeds benefiting the Street Boys organization. Get your tickets soon, the seats are filling up!
Celebration of Music
By Dennis Harter
dennish@isb.ac.th
This past Tuesday students, families and guests were treated to a wonderful concert by our middle school band students. Musicians from beginners to those with three years experience in our program showcased their growth and learning with great performances. It was amazing to all of us how much progress our students made in such a short time. They sounded terrific!
In between the performances of the Concert and Symphonic bands, a special guest pianist, Pin, joined two of our students, Jane and Orisa, for beautiful trio and solo performances. Pin is a student at the School for the Visually Impaired, where Jane and Orisa volunteer their time.
For those that didn’t catch the show, I invite you to watch the video of the event and check out the photos. A special thank you to band instructors Mr. Poling, Mr. Udagawa, and Khun Miaw for their continued guidance of our students.
