Character Celebrations

We enjoyed seeing everyone “try on” our ISB Values through our Character Celebrations!  We would like to thank the ES Learning Hub for organizing these two great days.

World Language Choice for 2017-2018

The World Language choice form will go home on Friday, May 19th to those students who need to make a choice for the next school year.  Students in pull-out EAL and LS programs, and Thai national students do not need to make this choice.  Completed forms must be returned to homeroom teachers on Monday, May 29th 2017.

Kindergarten Book Sale –  June 2, 2017

If you have books in good condition that are suitable for younger children, PreK-G2, please consider donating them to our annual KG Book Sale! Proceeds from our sale will go to the Bumble Bee Free Library located just outside of Nichada.  We will be supporting their Birthday Book Program. Collection boxes for donations can be found in the KG classrooms and outside of the ES office. Thank you for your support!

Donations for fair trade organization “Second Chance Bangkok”

Second Chance Bangkok is a local fair trade organization in the Klong Toey Slum that seeks reusable household items and creates employment opportunities for people who have experienced barriers to employment.  They also finance projects that support families in these slums. Grade 3 students are organizing a donation drive to support Second Chance Bangkok and the Klong Toey community. Please donate items including: clothes, baby items,  toys, bikes, skateboards and kitchen items. A collection box is located in the Grade 3 Quad. The last day for collection is May 25.

(Repeat) NaNoWriMo Celebration and Book Launch

When: 29th May from 2:30 – 3:30pm
Where: ES MPR

Back in November, around 150 elementary students participated in the fun, frantic novel writing challenge of NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month. By the end of the month, those students had collectively written more than half a million words! Now, six months on, many of those students are published authors. They have revised, edited and formatted their novels, designed their covers, written their blurbs and completed the publishing process. The Celebration is an opportunity to recognise the effort and achievements of these young writers, browse the collection of new books, and eat cake!

(Repeat) ES P.E. Swimming

Last session of swimming for ES PE begins next week on May 9.  All pertinent information will be posted on our PE blog.  You can access our blog on your child’s classroom blog or by going to this link:

(Repeat) The ES Music Shares Are Back! Starting end of May

At the end of the year, ES Music will host a “Music Share,” a time for students to perform music, drama, or dance and share with an audience of parents and their peers. Students are invited to perform a 2-3 minute piece that they have prepared outside of music class to share with their peers. Parents are welcome to join us for this event, which will be held in the music room 4-115.  The schedule and sign-up form for this year’s Music Share can be found here.

(Repeat) If You Know you are Leaving ISB

Families who are leaving ISB at the end of the school year are asked to inform the school as soon as possible using the official Notice of Withdrawal Form.  This helps us prepare school records for your child and with planning for next year.  Completed forms can be dropped off at the ES Office.
