ISB Coaching Positions 2017-2018 – Apply Here

ISB offers an athletic experience that inspires achievement and transforms lives. Join our Panther Pride as a coach, and make a positive difference in the lives of our student-athletes. Coaching at ISB is a fantastic way to get to know our students outside of the classroom, allowing you to connect with a range of students on a different level.

The ISB Athletics program tries to help every child reach his/her personal potential. We aim to educate through sport, develop character, and carry out the ISB mission, vision, values and definition of learning.

All athletic coaching positions at ISB receive a stipend, and you get to join a great team!

Please apply for available coaching positions utilizing the linked form. If you’d like to apply for more than one position, please explain/prioritize them in your personal statement.

Interviews will be scheduled as necessary over the next couple of weeks so that coaches know which team they will be working with next year.

Please contact ISB Athletic Director Derrick Quinet (derrickq@isb.ac.th), or Middle School Athletic Director Mark Jaspers (markj@isb.ac.th) if you have any clarifying questions.

By: Anthony & Andy, The Choir Guys
anthonyg@isb.ac.th

Andy Marshall and I are hoping to start a new ISB Community Chorus next year and thought we would send out an interest survey now and maybe even meet to sing a few times before school lets out for the summer. We already have two core groups interested, one made up of about 20 singers in the spring adult education singing class, and another twenty faculty and staff members who have sung off and on together the past few years for special occasions on campus. Should you be interested, please join us on Wednesday, May 17 at 3:00pm or 7:00pm in the MS Choir Room for our first rehearsals. We already have a song in mind and a possible performance opportunity. SIGN UP HERE.

It’s time to renew your ISB parking stickers

By: Mark Hevland, Head of Risk Management
markh@isb.ac.th

The current yellow 2015-2017 parking stickers will be expiring in June.  Those returning to ISB in the fall of 2017 will need to update their parking stickers.

In an attempt to make this process more efficient, we will start accepting applications on May 15th.  Applications will be available at the guard desk at the admin building and the Safety & Security office next to the Chevron theater.

Once completed, please return the application to the same location, along with all required supporting documents.

Applications will be processed over the summer and passes will be available for pick up late July to early August.

Applications submitted at the beginning of the school year will take a bit longer to process, so we encourage all returning ISB community members to submit applications early.

FAMILY ID CARDS:
For families renewing their temporary staffs’ (Driver/Maid/Mae Bahn) ID card, please collect and return the applications at the same locations.  For those whose temporary staff are not changing, we will process the cards over the summer and have them ready at the beginning of school.

For those who will be changing staff, photos will need to be taken in person at the Safety & Security office.  These may be processed beginning late July – early August.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at markh@isb.ac.th or Khun Ratthavit at rattavi@isb.ac.th

Health Clinic: Required Annual Medical Screening For Students

By: Sally Plomley, Nurse Office
nurse@isb.ac.th or sallyp@isb.ac.th

It is the time of year when we need to start the medical screening process for ALL returning students. Completed screening forms will need to be sent to the Health Clinic by June 30th 2017. This is a requirement for all students returning in the 2017-2018 school year. Please read the information below to learn more about the process.

We have modified the screening process so there is a basic medical screen for most students with a more extensive screen for students entering Grades 3, 6, 9 and 11, which includes a tuberculosis screen. Any student who has had a new student medical examination after January 2017 will not need a repeat examination. All students must fill in the Nurse Medication Consent form and tuberculosis symptom screening form.

Forms are available for download from the ISB website. ISB Health Services Forms and Resources

Any student with Diabetes, Asthma or Anaphylaxis will also need an action plan filled out by the doctor. Theses Action Plans are available for download from the ISB website. ISB Health Services Forms and Resources

ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE HEALTH CLINIC BY JUNE 30 2017 either in person or via email nurse@isb.ac.th

Grade Medical review

The medicals can be done by any registered medical practitioner either in Thailand or your home country. Many health insurance companies will cover annual medical screening for children.

The medicals examinations for students entering K and grades 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 12 can now be done at the Bumrungrad Nichada Clinic (with referral to the hospital if there are any issues). They will also have an ECG machine at the Bumrungrad Nichada Clinic from May 8-20 so students entering grade 11 may have their medical done there between those dates. They can also be done at World Medical Center or Samitivej Hospital. All students entering grades 3, 6, 9 and 11 (if medical not done at Bumrungrad Nichada Clinic May 8-20) will need to attend Bumrungrad Hospital, World Medical Center, Samitivej Hospital or any other hospital/doctors surgery with appropriate facilities. Please note that World Medical Center only have audiology services Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 5pm-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm.

Packages have been negotiated for Bumrungrad and World Medical Center as outlined below. Please make your child’s booking for the “ISB Student Physical Examination” and take the forms for the doctor to fill out (as required). Please note there may be an additional payment required for equipment and if there are additional medical reviews or tests are required due to abnormalities found during the examination.
