We enjoyed seeing everyone at the Music Celebrations of Learning this week. What a wonderful opportunity it was to see examples of student-generated movement and music, improvisation, and all of the technical elements of music our students learn. It is always exciting to get an insight into all the activities that take place within the classrooms.
The 5th Grade Book Sale (Thursday/Friday April 27/28)
We’re back again! The 5th grade book sale is a yearly sale put on by the 5th graders with the help of the teachers, IAs, and parents. We are collecting books now through April for the sale.
The Funds raised from this charity go to the Mercy Centre in Klong Toey. It helps pay for the education for many underprivileged kids who cannot afford school supplies, tuition and uniforms. Last year we raised more than 100,000 baht, so of course this year we would like to beat that amount! Please start sending books and magazines to school with your child, or you may drop them off in the boxes outside of the ES Office.

ES Explore Program (After School Activities)
All activities are well underway. There are few limited spaces available in some of our classes. Remember once the ES Explore schedule begins there are NO REFUNDS. All ES Explore have already hosted their 4th session so there are no longer any changes permitted.

A WICKED Summer School at ISB!
Wicked – The Untold Story of The Witches of Oz will be our production this summer in our Panther Musical Theatre class June 12 – 16 during our first session of summer school!
If your child is presently in grade 3 – 8 and is interested in being part of this production, please see/contact Khun Fon in our ISB Summer School Office (located next to the ISB Bookstore) soon as spots are filling up fast!

(Repeat) NaNoWriMo – Publishing Deadline Approaching!
Did your child write a novel in November? Are they planning to publish their book? If so, please remind them that the deadline for completing the publishing process is fast approaching (before the Songkran break). Students can come and get help with their publishing in the Hub at lunch recess, and parents are also welcome to drop in or email with any questions. (Repeat) Class Placement Process for 2017-18
Parents who would like to give us information to consider for class placement in 2017-18 are welcome to do so. Please pick up a form in the Counseling Office starting Monday, March 20. The forms are due back in the Counseling Office by Wednesday, April 5.
Please note: Parents may not request specific teachers. This form asks for learning and educational information regarding your child. For parents who are unable to come in to pick up a form, please contact the Counseling Secretary at kunlawan@isb.ac.th for an electronic copy.
(Repeat) If You Know you are Leaving ISB
Families who are leaving ISB at the end of the school year are asked to inform the school as soon as possible using the official Notice of Withdrawal Form. This helps us prepare school records for your child and with planning for next year. Completed forms can be dropped off at the ES Office.

Submitting an announcement for publication
ISB accepts announcements from ISB families for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.

Frequency of eNewsletter mailings
The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.
