A special Panthers welcome to our new families starting this semester in the middle school. We are excited to have these 8 new students in our MS community.
On Monday, we had a new parent orientation, with reminders about the fun community events coming up:
- Sunday, Jan 15, 4-7 pm – Music in the Park, a concert honoring the late King of Thailand
- Thursday, Jan 19, 10:30 am – MS PTA Meeting – Topic: the upcoming Class Trips
- Saturday, Jan 21, 4-7 pm – International Family Fair, a festival day of games and food from around the world
To keep informed about all that’s going on at school, please follow our eNews (this communication) which comes out at the end of every week.
New families should have received a communication from the school regarding your PowerSchool Parent Portal login. Please email Khun Arisa, arsiap@isb.ac.th, if you have not or are having any trouble.

Yearbook Photo Make-ups
On Friday, January 20th, photographers will be on campus again for photo re-takes along with capturing the yearbook photos for our new students. You will be provided with proofs of these photos soon after, if you would like to order and copies through the vendor.
Students who did not take their photo in the first semester along with new students will be contacted to attend this reshoot. If you (or your child) were unsatisfied with your child’s photo from first semester and would like your child to take a new photo, please remind them to come to the Skybox on Friday, January 20th for a re-take.
Learn about the MS Class Trips – PTA meeting Jan 1

During the week of February 6th, all middle school students and faculty will head off for our Class Trips. The grade level groups travel to different parts of Thailand to learn more about the culture, experience nature, enjoy outdoor activities, and connect with their friends through new shared experiences.
Information has been sent home regarding your child’s trip, however if you would like to learn more about the trips and hear directly from the trip leaders, we invite you to join us at the MS PTA meeting on Thursday, January 19th, starting at 10:30 in the MPB.

INVITATION – HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT PARENT MEETING: January 26th
Dear Parents of Grade 6, 7 and 8
The Health and Wellness teachers, together with the school counselors , would like to invite you to attend a meeting to share with you the Wellness curriculum we will be teaching in regard to Adolescent Development and Sexual Health (human growth and development).
The Wellness lessons provide the knowledge and understanding of how the human body changes during puberty and the process of human reproduction. We also aim to provide opportunities to discuss and explore what healthy, happy relationships look like as we move through the adolescent years.
If adolescents are provided with accurate information to understand what is happening to them they will hopefully grow into confident and healthy adults able to make positive choices.
At the meeting you will have an opportunity to learn about the research behind the curriculum, the content being taught and how we teach this content. There will also be an opportunity to share your thoughts and questions.
We appreciate your role in guiding your child through this developmental period. We hope our session will be thoughtful and enjoyable and we encourage you to find the time to join us.
This same presentation was offered to MS parents last year so if you attended last year’s meeting you may not need to attend again. Each year, for new parents or those who were not able to make the previous presentation, we present this information on our curriculum.

- Optional pre-season track & field strength and conditioning training with James Butterfield on Tuesday 17 January (2:15-3:15), Tuesday 23 January (2:15-3:15) and Tuesday 30 January ( ERD: 1:15-2:15)
- Official Track & Field Season starts on season starts Wednesday 15 February
- Practice are on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:35-3:40
- ISB Friendly meet on Wednesday 8 March (5pm, all athletes)
- BISAC meet on Saturday 18 March (selected athletes only)
