See you at the “Music in the Park” this Sunday!

This Sunday, the 15th of January, 4pm – 7pm, ISB is hosting the Music in the Park, featuring Pro Musica. Pro Musica will play the compositions of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Come and join us as we honor the life of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej through beautiful music. Campus Closures and Parking Info for Music in the Park event

By: Mark Hevland, Head of Risk Management
markh@isb.ac.th

As a reminder, the ISB campus will be closed for activities and use this Sunday, Jan 15th, in preparation for the “Music in the Park” concert.  The entrances to the school will open at 3:30pm for all ticket holders. Tickets will also be on sale at the school entrance for those who have not purchased them yet. Only those attending the event will be allowed on campus during the hours of 3:30 and 7:30pm (excluding those needing to cross campus between the Saruwan and front gates).

We are expecting a large turnout to the event and there will be some parking constraints. To help alleviate this pressure, we please ask the following:

 – Please can all residents of Nichada walk or ride their bikes to the event. The three main bike parking gate areas will be open for easy access.

 – For those needing to drive to the event, please consider carpooling

 – If you have a driver, please have them drop you off at the school and then park off campus in the Secret Garden lot next to the Villa Market.

Cars will be allowed to park in the main parking lot in front of the admin and elementary buildings.  Golf cart will be parking to the left of the main entrance in the parking lot in front of the Chevron theater.  We will only be able to allow ONE row of golf carts to be parked along the turnaround.

Once the parking lot is full, the gates will be closed to any further vehicle access.  Cars will be able to park in the Nichada Club parking lot and in the Secret Garden parking. We ask that you please follow the directions of the guards when parking inside the ISB lot or when looking for alternative parking areas. We want to ensure that everyone enters the lot safely, but also to make sure everyone can exit smoothly when the concert ends.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions at markh@isb.ac.th

Occupational Therapy now available at ISB

By: Cindy Warner-Dobrowski, Director of Student Services
cindyw@isb.ac.th

We are excited to welcome Kiratinoot Luanganggoon, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, to ISB as another step toward becoming a more inclusive school. Kira will begin providing services on a part time basis later this semester.

Occupational therapists are healthcare professionals who support children in developing the skills they need for playing, learning, and taking care of themselves. They help children become more independent in their everyday lives by targeting cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills. We are excited about the benefits that having an occupational therapist on campus will bring to our students with diverse learning needs.

Kira has her Master of Occupational Therapy Practice from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, and her BS in Occupational Therapy from Mahidol University.

To meet Kira and learn more about the role of an occupational therapist, please join our parent training next week Thursday from 8-9 am in the ESMPR. If you believe your child may need occupational therapy, please contact their counselor for more information.
