HS Principal Announcement for 2017/18
I am very pleased to announce that the search process for a new High School Principal has been completed and that Justin Alexander has been appointed to the position beginning in the 2017/18 school year. International School Services (ISS) facilitated a global search that attracted close to 40 applicants with the necessary experience and qualifications. Seven shortlisted candidates were interviewed & screened and two finalists were invited to ISB for a series of interviews.
Justin Alexander is currently the Head of Secondary at the Chinese International School Hong Kong where he has been for the past eight years. Prior to Hong Kong, Justin served as Secondary Principal at the International School of Tanganyika, and as High School Vice Principal at Shanghai American School.
Justin was born in Victoria (Australia) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Monash University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Administration from Deakin University.
We are very grateful to all those that took part in the selection process – Leadership Team members, HS Faculty, HS Department Heads, a HS parent interviewing group, and the HS Student Council. The comprehensive and insightful input we received was very valuable.
Current HS Principal, Philip Bradley, will be leaving ISB in June 2017 to become the Founding Head of School at The Swiss International School of Qatar. We congratulate Philip on this appointment and thank him wholeheartedly for his many contributions to ISB.
We also warmly welcome Kellie Alexander to the ISB family. Kellie is currently the Director of Sports & Activities at the Chinese International School Hong Kong. Kellie has also worked as a PE teacher and a music teacher. Joining Justin and Kellie are their daughters, Imogen and Darcy.
We look forward to welcoming the Alexander family to our ISB community.
