Happy Holidays

es-festival-of-lights-1

From all the staff in the Elementary School, we wish students and families a very safe and happy holiday. We look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday, January 9, 2017 (A Day).

To those of you who are leaving ISB and Thailand, we wish you every success with your move and transition.

ISB Service Learning Partnership with “Second Chance Bangkok”

Service Learning keeps moving forward at ISB. One example of this, is the partnership with Second Chance Bangkok. Now in the project’s 4th year, grade three students have gained a better understanding of the community and day-to-day life found in Klong Toei.

Thank you to our ISB community who supported the sale – over 100,000 baht was raised. Second Chance Bangkok continues to be overwhelmed by the support and generosity they receive from their visits to ISB.

ES New Parent Orientation

Parents of Elementary School students, who are new this semester, are invited to attend the New Parent Orientation on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at 7:45 am in the ES MPR (the big room behind the Elementary School office).  See you there!

ES ‘Out of Uniform’ Day—January 12 and 13, 2017

These two days are ‘Out of uniform’ days in the Elementary School.  On PE days, students need to wear their PE uniforms.  On their non PE day, students may choose to not wear their ISB uniform.

Appropriate dress guidelines for our ‘Out of Uniform’ days are:

  • Pants/slacks/shorts—good condition
  • Shirts/blouses—sleeves & midriff required, appropriate logos only
  • Skirts/dresses/jumpers—sleeves required, modest length
  • Shoes—sneakers, street shoes or leather sandals with back strap
  • Hats must be worn all the time when playing outside during recess or during PE classes

My Child Wrote a Novel! Now what?

Please click here to access the presentation that was shared in Tuesday’s parent workshop regarding the publishing process for NaNoWriMo. If your child participated and is interested in publishing their novel, this will guide you through that process, but your child can continue to get help with this in the Hub next semester, or you can contact Selena selenag@isb.ac.th with any questions.
