Congratulations IASAS Teams!

ISB’s varsity teams traveled to Taipei and Jakarta during the October holiday to wrap up their seasons at the IASAS championships. The boys soccer team earned a spot in the final against hosts JIS, and facing a raucous crowd, our Mighty Panthers came from one goal down, to scoring two in the final seven minutes to wrap up a magical season! Our girls soccer team highlighted their trip to Indonesia by holding eventual runners-up TAS scoreless, finishing 5th overall.

The boys cross country team landed in Taiwan on fire, having won the Thailand Invitational against a stacked group and cleaning up in claiming the BISAC championship. The hills high above Taipei proved challenging, with our boys splitting the two days events with SAS, eventually going down via the tie-breaker to claim silver. Our girls team showed the heart of a champion, braving the hills and showing their character in a strong finish for the Panthers!

The girls volleyball team opened the competition with a heart-stopping five-set win over ISM, and the thrills kept on coming. Our Panthers played with the best and gave it their all, eventually finishing 4th in a tight competition. The boys volleyball team demonstrated exceptional poise in a well-coached effort, competing in every game on their way to a 5th place finish.

Congratulations to all of our teams and players for their effort, and we want to show our sincere appreciation to our coaches for all of their time, care, and commitment this season. Well done Coaches Barnes and Barnes, Stephenson and Mackey, Kirk and O’Rourke, Speirs and Tahan, and Bentley and Giles. A special shout out goes to our goalkeeping coach and resident expert,  the one and only Mr. Fraser Carver.

Go Panthers!
