Early Dismissal – Tuesday May 31, 2016
All ISB students will be dismissed at 1pm on Tuesday, May 31st. School buses leave ISB campus at 1:15 p.m.
ES ‘Out of School Uniform’ Day—June 2 and 3, 2016
These two days are ‘Out of uniform’ days in the Elementary School. On PE days, students need to wear their PE uniforms. On their non PE day, students may choose to not wear their ISB uniform.
Kindergarten Book Sale – Friday, June 3rd
As a part of Service Learning in Kindergarten, we have a tradition of holding a used picture book sale in June. This event allows the children to reuse books they have finished reading and to raise money to benefit an important cause. This year, the proceeds of our sale will go to support both the Moonlight Foundation in Nepal and the Bumblebee Library that is just outside of Nichada. Please come and visit the KG quad on Friday, June 3 for the KG Book Sale! Thank you for your support!
NaNoWriMo Book Launch
On Monday 23rd May, parents, teachers and students came together to celebrate the elementary school’s newly published authors. This journey began back in November when around 150 students chose to take on the NaNoWriMo challenge. After six months of writing, editing, revising, formatting, and designing, we were able to see the results of all that hard work and effort. All this year’s NaNoWriMo novels can be seen in the ES Hub and you can read more about our writers and the celebration here.

Devising Theatre
This is a FUN two-week workshop exploring the world of theatre. Suitable for grade 4 – 8, this CREATIVE, ACTIVE exploration of IDEAand students own UNDERSTANDINGS will culminate in a SHOW that will be ORIGINAL and completely STUDENT owned. Students will learn specific PERFORMANCE techniques, IMPROVISATION, and how to CREATE through COLLABORATION and it promises to be a rewarding experience for all.
This is part of the SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAMME. Please contact Maurilio Baron-Toaldo, maurilib@isb.ac.th to secure your spot. This is a two-week summer school course from, July 13 – 24. Classes start at 7:30am and finish at 1pm.

The Hub is currently undergoing a full inventory of books and resources. Parents are asked to please return any remaining resources to the Hub as soon as possible. On May 30, summer check-outs for returning students will begin.

(Repeat) Kindergarten to Gr. 1 Transition: Parent Meeting
On Monday, June 6 from 1:15-1:45pm, we are inviting all Kindergarten parents to a Gr. 1 Transition Meeting in the ES MPR. After the presentation, Kindergarten and First Grade teachers will be on hand to answer questions about your child’s transition to first grade. Please mark the date on your calendar!

Families who are leaving ISB at the end of the school year are asked to inform the school as soon as possible using the official Notice of Withdrawal Form. This helps us prepare school records for your child and with planning for next year. Completed forms can be dropped off at the ES Office.

ISB accepts announcements from ISB families and ISB staff for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.
What to include in the announcement
- A title for your announcement
- An email contact for further information
- An image or photo (optional)

Your announcement will be submitted to the appropriate Principal and/or to our Marketing Director for review. ISB reserves the right to determine which announcements will and will not be published, and to edit announcements that are approved for publication.
Frequency of eNewsletter mailings
The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.
