Grade 9
Students and parents are reminded that we have good support in review for our final exams, which will arrive before we know it. There will be some in class review but most teachers will also offer additional study / review sessions after school. It is important that students try and take advantage of these opportunities, please encourage them to do so. We also have a learning hub that our students can drop into at any time of the year. Teachers and learning support specialists staff this.

Grade 10
As we come down the home stretch toward the end of the semester, is your son or daughter well organized for final exams?  If you can sit down with them and have them explain to you how they’ve organized their material and how they will study for exams, it can give you a good sense of whether or not they know how to prepare.

Grade 11
Yesterday (May 12), the counselors meet with Grade 11 students to present Junior Seminar #4. The focus of the presentation was to provide students with a summary of what they should be currently during in regards to the university application process and next steps. Counselors also discussed suggested summer activities and senior year expectations.

Grade 12
Senior Transition Day – As IB exams are coming to a close, it’s time to focus on transitioning beyond high school. Counselors and staff will spend Senior Transition

Day with seniors addressing topics like: finance & budgeting, self-defense, culture shock, and other great topics to support them as they prepare for life after high school. This will take place on Monday, May 23 from 7:20-2:00pm. Today is the deadline for Seniors to complete the survey sent to them so they can choose which sessions they’d like to attend.

 Japan, Korea, and India Applicants– Students applying to Japan, Korea, and India met with counselors a few weeks ago to begin planning for upcoming applications.

Students and parents should speak with their counselor and plan accordingly especially if deadlines are beyond graduation.
