Please be informed that Monday, May 2, 2016 is NOT a holiday for students and teachers.  School in session.  It will be a ‘D’ day.

ES Music Concert and Assembly Next Week!

The ES Music Department cordially invites you to join them for their final evening concert of the year! On May 4th at 6:30pm in the Chevron Theater students in ES Strings and ES Choirs will perform repertoire that they’ve learned throughout the school year. Students not in choir or strings will not be performing but are welcome to come as audience members.

There will also be a music assembly on May 6 at 9:30am. Unfortunately, we do not have the space to accommodate parents in the Chevron for this event. In this assembly, we will be singing our latest community song, “Sing!” Many students have asked us to send the link home to parents so they can share the song with you. You can find it here.

ISB Book Awards and Character Dress-Up Days

Each year ISB celebrates books that exemplify the way we learn and play at ISB. This year, we are showcasing books that highlight the “achieving our academic potential” part of our mission statement.  Grade levels are currently nominating books to win the grade-level award.  During the week of May 9th, we will decorate the HUB in “Oscars” style to celebrate the winning selections.  Students are encouraged to dress up as book characters who are trying to achieve their academic potential during the May 12th and 13th Out-of-Uniform Days. Think about characters who show determination and resilience in their learning!  A photographer will be on hand to document students in their costumes–it would be helpful for children to bring a copy of the book their character comes from, if you have one at home.

Stop by the HUB, browse the selections, and start talking with your children about books you’ve read with characters who are working hard to achieve their academic potential!

Past award winners here.

The ES Musical team is looking for costume designer for our production, slated for February, 2017. The costume designer draws up the costumes, finds photos of
examples (where possible), shops for fabric and trims, sends the fabric and
designs to the tailor, then finishes the embellishments and accessories with a
team of helpers. The process also includes measuring and fitting the children,
and making adjustments after dress rehearsal. Anyone interested in taking on
this role should email Angela Wong at angelaw@isb.ac.th.

(Repeat) Annual Medical Screening For Students

It is the time of year when we need to start the medical screening process for ALL students.

We have modified the screening process so there is a basic medical screen for most students with a more extensive screen for students entering Grades 3, 6, 9 and 11 which includes a tuberculosis screen. Any student who has had a new student medical examination after January 2016 will not need a repeat examination. All students must fill in the Nurse Medication Consent form.

Forms are available for download from the ISB website. ISB Health Services Forms and Resources

Any student with Diabetes, Asthma or Anaphylaxis will also need an action plan filled out by the doctor. Forms are available for download from the ISB website. ISB Health Services Forms and Resources

ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE HEALTH CLINIC BY JUNE 30 2016 either in person or via email nurse@isb.ac.th
