Grade 12 Parent Transition Meeting – Grade 12 parents are encouraged to mark your calendars on Thursday, April 28, 8:30am. Counselors will discuss the transition process to support parents as Grade 12 students plan move onto to university, gap years, etc.

Senior Transition Day – This will take place on Monday, May 28 for all Seniors. Students will have a full day of events as they prepare to graduate high school and head off to new adventures. More details will be shared after Songkran.

University Decisions – This can be an anxious time for students with decisions arriving and preparing for exams. If your student faces an admission denial or waitlist, it’s important to stress to that this decision is rarely a reflection of the student. If students have questions about being on a waitlist, trying to weigh their choices, etc., they’re encouraged to speak with their counselor who can help them in this process.
As university results begin to come in for students in the US, Canada, UK, etc., students need to notify their counselors of the admission decision. We also encourage students to thank the teachers and counselors who put in a lot of time supporting students with recommendations.

Visit our December blog post on this very topic: “What your college applications don’t tell you” and our most recent post about how to handle “The College Waitlist”

Japan, Korea, and India – Students applying to Japan, Korea, and India met with counselors a couple of weeks ago to begin planning for upcoming applications. Students and parents should speak with their counselor and plan accordingly especially if deadlines are over the school summer holiday.

Grade 11
If your student is thinking about taking the May 7 SAT, the deadline to register is next Friday, April 8. If you or your student has questions regarding the registration process, please come to the HS Counseling Office.

Also, if students have questions regarding their course selections for next year or would like to make changes to their course selections, please have them see their counselor.

Grade 10
One week to go until Songkran Holiday, we hope that your sons and daughters are feeling good about their second semester and are happy with their selections for the next school year.  Please encourage them to drop by and see their counselor if they have any concerns or questions about classes, or anything else for that matter!

Grade 9
Recently, Grade 9 students met with one of the 10-12 counselors to discuss course options for next school year. Please note that the counselor whom the student met with is not necessarily their counselor for next year.
