Dear MS Parents,
You are invited and encouraged to attend a presentation on the issues teens and parents face in Bangkok regarding teen risky behavior.
The presentation will be held this Friday, March 4th, from 7:30-8:45 a.m. in the MPB1. The presenters will be Graeme Scott, ISB’s Deputy Head of School for Learning, and Eduardo Torres, a consultant from the Freedom From Chemical Dependency (FCD) organization who is working with all MS students this week. Topics to be presented on will include the:
- latest research on the mental and physical effects alcohol and drugs have on the developing teenage brain
- myths and misconceptions about adolescent drug use
- warning signs that children may be abusing alcohol or other drugs
- role parents play in keeping their kids drug-free during adolescence
- strategies used to help children resist the pressure to drink or use drugs
The presentation will conclude with an open Q&A session. We hope you will join us.
