IB Mock Exams will be next month. This is the culmination of 2 years of hard work and in the words of one of our English teachers, it’s a “celebration of their learning.” Hopefully, you can support your student through this time by encouraging them to stay focused, set a study schedule and get plenty of rest.
11th Grade:
Grade 11 students should have already met or have a Junior Conference meeting scheduled with their counselor. The Junior Conference is an important meeting to discuss a student’s post-secondary plans. Please check with your son/daughter to see if he/she has scheduled a Junior Conference and if not, they should do so soon.

10th Grade:
Counselors have been meeting individually with 10th graders to discuss their schedules for next year. Most students have a good to very good idea of what they plan to take in the coming year and beyond. A few are really confused and we’re trying to help them to decide what path is best for them. Where does your child fit in terms of knowing what they will study next year? Have you spoken to your son or daughter about their schedule? Please do! Also, there is a
9th Grade:
Mr Davy and our two interns Ms. Brelsford and Ms. Perkins have started meeting with students individually to review first semester progress. Conversations have been insightful, honest, and reflective on the students’ part.
Looking for a summer program for your student to further explore their areas of interest? ISB receives information for a variety of programs. While we maintain traditional paper brochures, we’ve also made this information available to students and parents online through Naviance. Once logged in, go to the “Colleges” tab and then scroll down to “Enrichment Programs” to search through the database.
Is your son or daughter interested in the Health Professions or simply a science kid??
