Author Visit: Linda-Sue Park

Linda Sue Park, award-winning author, will visit ISB this coming week,  February 1-4.   Please take advantage of the following parent-focused opportunities to meet with this talented writer!

  • Parent Workshop: More Important Than Ever: Your Child and Books. This workshop is open to any parent at ISB.  Don’t miss it! Thursday the 4th at 7:30. ES MPR.
  • A Long Walk to Water book discussion open to people in the ISB community who have read the book. Wednesday, February 3 @ 2:15 in the ES HUB. Please sign up in the ES HUB
  • A Single Shard book discussion open to people in the ISB community who have read the book.  Thursday, February 4 @ 2:15 in the ES HUB.  Please sign up in the ES HUB.
  • Meet the author and book signing on February 4, 11:00- 2:00 in the ES HUB

ES ‘Out of Uniform’ Day – February 4 and 5

These two days are ‘Out of uniform’ days in the Elementary School.  On PE days, students need to wear their PE uniforms.  On their non PE day, students may choose to not wear their ISB uniform.

ES After School Activities

This Semester’s After School Activity program will begin on Monday, February 29th. Important dates for you to note in your calendar:  TheAfter School Activity booklet available online for viewing or downloading go to this link and click “Activities booklet”.

January 29th: Activity Listing &  important registration information to be found in your child’s Friday folder. The ASA booklet is available online and this is also where you register for ASA.

February 1st – 3rd: Printed registration forms along with exact payment can be dropped in the red drop box in the CAO.

February 12th: Confirmations of ASA placement will be available online.

February  29th: After School Activities begin!

(Repeat) International School Assessment (ISA) for Grades 3, 5, 7 and 10

Students in grades 3, 5, 7 and 10 will take the annual ISA assessment on February 1 and 2. The International School Assessment is designed to offer comparable assessment data for students in international schools.  The ISA assesses students in the three domains of Mathematical Literacy, Reading and Writing.

(Repeat) After School Supervision – Reminder

Please ensure you know where your child is each afternoon and that maids and nannies understand ISB policy around supervision after school.  For safety’s sake, ES students MAY NOT be on campus after school unless supervised by an adult. Thank you for your cooperation.

Submitting an announcement for publication

ISB accepts announcements from ISB families and ISB staff for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.

What to include in the announcement

  • A title for your announcement
  • An email contact for further information
  • An image or photo (optional)

Where to submit your announcement

4publish@isb.ac.th is for announcements of interest to the entire ISB community.
tinaratr@isb.ac.th is for Elementary School (ES) announcements of interest to ES families.
maurilib@isb.ac.th is for Middle School (MS) announcements of interest to MS families.
vijitl@isb.ac.th is for High School (HS) announcements of interest to HS families.

Your announcement will be submitted to the appropriate Principal and/or to our Marketing Director for review. ISB reserves the right to determine which announcements will and will not be published, and to edit announcements that are approved for publication.

Frequency of eNewsletter mailings

The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.

The ES, MS, and HS eNewsletters are sent out on Fridays. Announcements for potential publication in these newsletters must be received by noon on Fridays.
