We were delighted to welcome students back to school for the start of another great semester of learning. A special ‘hello’ to our 19 new students and their families. We trust your first week at ISB has been filled with many enjoyable ‘firsts’! We are looking forward to this very productive phase of learning and teaching. ISB Parent Portal
The ISB Parent Portal is now embedded directly in Powerschool. Starting next week, parents will need to login to Powerschool to view our ‘closed’ section of the website, this is for current parents only. In this area, along with grades and attendance, parents will be able to access school news and events, as well as updating family contact and address information.
If you have forgotten your username or password, there is a link on thePowerschool page to retrieve it, alternatively parents can contact:

ES Make-up Photos – Monday, Jan. 25, 2016
New students who came to school on or after September 15, 2015 will have their pictures taken on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 7:30-2:00 pm in the ES MPR. Please check your child’s schedule if it is PE day for her/him. S/He will need an extra ISB uniform shirt for this photo session.
A retake session will also be available for other students from 2:05-3:00 pm in the ES MPR. This is completely optional and requires signing up now. Students will not be allowed to miss class time to retake their photo. You must supervise your child during the photo time after school.

ES After School Activities
This Semester’s After School Activity program will begin on Monday, February 29th. The following are some important dates for you to note in your calendar:

Registration will be open online on Friday, January 29th.

After School Supervision – Reminder
Please ensure you know where your child is each afternoon and that maids and nannies understand ISB policy around supervision after school. For safety’s sake, ES students MAY NOT be on campus after school unless supervised by an adult. Thank you for your cooperation.
Girl Scout Sock Hop Jan. 30
Tickets are on sale now for the Mother Daughter Sock Hop, sponsored by the Girl Scouts. Dress up in your best poodle skirt, wrap a 50s scarf around your neck, and help us raise money for the Maharaj Boys Home. The dance will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, in the ISB multi-purpose building. Tickets are on sale in the elementary school breezeway before and after school and can also be purchased from the CAO office. Tickets are 700 baht per person or 2,400 baht for a family (mother and three or more daughters). We are also sponsoring a shoe drive for the boys. Please drop soccer shoes or other athletic shoes for boys ages 4 and older in our donation box located at the front of the school.
Learn to Swim Registration Session 3 & 4 for 2nd Semester
Panther Learn to Swim is now open for registration for 2nd semester. The program will run two separate classes, a Monday/Wednesday class, and Tuesday/Thursday class. Class times for Pre K will be from 1.45-2.15pm and ES will be from 2:20-3:00pm. Both Pre K and ES classes will run at the small pool. Cost for the class is 4,500 THB for Pre K and 5,000 baht for ES for a 6 week course (12 lessons).
Semester 2:
Session 3: Feb 15 to Mar 24
Session 4: April 18 to May 26
Places are limited, so we will operate on a first register/first pay basis. Payment can be done at CAO weekdays.
