Passion Day for PK-3 students: December 1
Can you imagine spending a whole day exploring, creating, building, playing, acting, sketching, inventing? Passion Day for PK-3 students will be exactly that! Using design principles that promote choice, student driven thinking and action as well as multi-age experiences, the day’s learning will centre around the question, “How do we explore materials?”
Teams of teachers will provide different materials for students to explore. Teachers will act as provocateurs and questioners in the learning process as students respond in a variety of ways to the materials. We are looking forward to a very different style of learning for our youngest students.
Parents are reminded that December 1 is an Early Release Day and that school finishes at 1pm.
Passion Day Requests
We are collecting the following items for donation for use on Passion Day –
- small boxes, no larger than a shoe-box size
- Childrens puzzles
From Monday, a large crate will be available for these items outside the ES Hub.
