ES Report Card: Trimester 1

We send home report cards each year (November, February and June). This year the first report card goes online on Friday, November 13, 2015, available on Powerschool. Please look over the report with your child, discussing strength, areas for growth and goals.  It is our aim that report cards are a spring-board for positive family conversations about learning. For any questions regarding Powerschool log-ons, please contact K. Goff trins@isb.ac.th or K. Tom cholthis@isb.ac.th

Cafeteria News…Did You Know…?

After having traveled around the culinary globe during International Week, we are extremely surprised and proud to announce the Unexpected ‘It’ Dish of the Week – the Vegetarian Chinese Soup –  which was served on Monday while celebrating Chinese cuisine.  Cauliflower, Carrots, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Spring Onions, Lettuce and noodles came to a soft boil in a homemade vegetable broth, leaving an exotic yet subtle burst of flavor in our mouth.  The kids loved it so much, we were making 2nd and 3rd batches of it.  Here’s to celebrating our fantastic attributes of being risk takers at the lunch buffet and moving towards a balanced and healthy pallet.  Enjoy.

(Repeat) Information Meeting for ES Musical: Peter Pan Jr.

Grade 4 and 5 are you ready to fly with the ES Musical this year? There will be a mandatory information meeting for the ES Musical at 2:15 on November 16 in Mrs. Benusa’s music room (4-114). In this meeting we will talk about the production and give out information regarding auditions. More information can be found outlining the audition process on the ES Music Blog here.

(Repeat) Parents of students in Grades 3-5

MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) scores  from recent assessments in reading and math are now available on PowerSchool.  This letter provides parents with information about MAP.  Please remember that this assessment is only one piece of many that we use to show a full picture of student learning.

(Repeat) Leaving ISB at the End of the First Semester?

Parents of students who are not returning to ISB after semester 1 need to notify the ES Office, K. Tina (tinaratr@isb.ac.th) as soon as possible and  fill out the Notice of Withdrawal from ISB Form to enable us to process school records for their next school.  Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
